Quinism Foundation Meeting: April 29-30

Look for John Maher at the Quinism Foundation Second Annual Meeting at the Hotel Coolidge in White River Junction, Vermont, April 29-30. Neuropsychiatric Quinism is a medical condition caused by poisoning by quinoline drugs such as the antimalarial drugs mefloquine and tafenoquine. Symptoms can include nightmares, severe insomnia, crippling anxiety, and debilitating cognitive and neurological dysfunction that can continue long after the drugs are stopped, and are regularly mistaken for those of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), particularly among military veterans, many of whom were issued quinoline anti-malarials such as mefloquine and tafenoquine during overseas deployments.
